Wendy Briggs studied at Kingston Polytechnic in Surrey, where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. She continued her professional development with the Slade School of Fine Art and recently completed an MA in Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Hertfordshire. Wendy also has a PGCE teaching qualification in Art and Design from Cambridge University. Her work has been exhibited by galleries in Thailand, Islington, Hertfordshire and Norfolk, amongst others, and was seen most recently at the Milton Keynes Gallery. Here she designed and managed an exterior wall installation for MK Gallery based on maps produced by local children, created during a series of workshop events.
Wendy has been included in the Whitworth Young Contemporaries in Manchester, the Stowells Trophy Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London and the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers at the Atrium Gallery.
She has a proven track record in inspiring students of all ages and in particular adults with learning difficulties; most notably at Barnfield College in Bedfordshire. Wendy has been a lead artist for The Big Draw Event and is skilled in leading workshops in theatre design, drawing, painting and printmaking.
